Our muscles are surrounded by fascia, which serve as the connective and supportive structure of our muscles. When the fascia structures are disrupted, it can lead to pain caused by a hypersensitive area known as a trigger point. Due to local oxygen deprivation, this results in a persistent contraction, which is often palpable as a knot.

The causes of such disruptions can vary and include:

  • Muscle overuse
  • Repetitive movements
  • Micro-injuries
  • Poor nutrition
  • Hormonal imbalances
  • Lack of physical activity

Over time, the fascia "stick together" more and more, which can lead to pain and conditions such as:

  • Back pain
  • Shoulder pain
  • Knee problems
  • Tennis elbow
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome
  • Migraines

Through myofascial bodywork, massage, and trigger point therapy, it is often possible to alleviate these painful conditions. Observations and experience have shown that many diagnoses no longer apply after a few treatments, making it possible to reduce or even completely eliminate discomfort.
